So my sewing juices have been flowing lately and I love it!! I've made some new things, sold some things, got a few orders in and finished part of a Christmas present. I've been getting a lot of practice in which is good. I really feel like I'm slowing getting a lot better. For being self taught and not having done this for very long I think I'm doing pretty great. My zippers are still pretty iffy most of the time but I know those tend to be one of the harder things to do. I'm kind of proud of myself. I've been known to try something out and give up on it pretty quick but it hasn't been this way with sewing. I think it helps that my mom gets so excited when I make stuff especially when her friends want to buy it.
Show and tell time!!
(Not gonna lie, I am no photographer. Ha)
This is my new little Bible cover. My mom's friend has asked if I could make her some bible covers for her to go with some Bibles that she is giving for Christmas presents. I had never made a book cover before so I wanted to try it out before. It ended up turning out really nice. I didn't think of it until the end but I should have added a little loop near one of the handles for a pencil holder. But oh well. I'm just going to add it on theirs.
Me & my mom have been into the couponing lately and I just couldn't find a holder that I liked so I made one! Ha. I found the tutorial online somewhere, not really sure where.
This is my new little phone case! I love making patchwork stuff. I have a huge bin just full of scraps that I love to just reach in mix and match stuff together. I don't really like the ribbon that I used for the little loop though. I don't know why I did that. I should have made one out of fabric. Next time.
This is one of those plastic bag stuffer/holder things. I made my mom one is this night sky fabric and had posted it on Facebook. A few days later I was looking through my fabric just to remember what I had and to see if I had anything I could make out of the stuff and I saw the fabric. Like two seconds later my phone buzzed w/ an email and it was a Facebook notification saying that one of my friends had commented on it and asked if I could make her one with Zebra fabric. Ha. Turns out I had just a big enough piece to make her one. Worked out perfect!
OK. Enough pictures for today! Have fun!
